We welcomed participants and support from far and wide.
Because, the more focus on children reading the better!
Anyone can still participate, including private residents, businesses, social clubs, Scout Troops, Schools, Home Schoolers, Day Cares, City, County and State Government Departments etc with financial support! For more information, please contact

How the Scarecrow Contest Worked:
Participants chose their THEME:
Themes ideas were business, services, a personal hobby or interest, or a childhood story character.
Every display to be family friendly.
Completed entry forms and donations were submitted in person or by email/PayPal,
Build their Scarecrow and displayed it for all to enjoy!

Additionally, a follow up will be an insert in the Triangle News Leader,
Social media as photos are shared. PLEASE SHARE on your social media the photos of our contest to spread the word of the new program in Lake County, Florida! Thank you! BONUS: We have a few business people have volunteered to share photos of scarecrow entries on their websites/social media to help bring attention to local businesses/organizations who participated.
Please, post, our photos to get the word out about our contest displays,
The funds received will support, The Dolly Parton Imagination Library of Lake County, Florida as we expand from Tavares to other cities.
